What We Do

Our gatherings are about connection, community, and shared experience. Relationships are built over coffee and plates of lovingly prepared food whether that’s brunch after Book Club, snacks at Film Club, or a shared meal during one of our events. The flavours of home are always being served. After all, nothing says community like a little homo-cooked comfort.

Programs

Book Club

Sunday mornings with a little literary foreplay. We read, we reflect, we gossip (lovingly), and we let the conversation wander where it needs to go. Expect thoughtful discussion, warm facilitation, and the kind of connection that lingers well past the last page.

Brunch

Your Sunday just got gayer. Held after Book Club, GMCN Brunch is about good food, better company, and absolutely no pressure to be anything other than yourself. Come hungry, leave full emotionally and otherwise.

Chlorine Queens

Up early, always damp, and deeply committed. Chlorine Queens is a weekly early-morning lane swim at the Wellesley Community Centre for those who like their community served with laps. We’re in the pool at the crack of dawn. Crowns are encouraged.

Downward-Facing Diva

Stretch, breathe, and strike a pose. This weekly yoga practice is equal parts grounding and fabulous, offering a gentle way to reconnect with your body in a supportive space.

Film Club

Lights down, gays assembled. Film Club brings us together to watch queer films, cult classics, and everything in between with plenty of time to chat, laugh, and connect. Homosexuals in a dark room? Oh my!

Focus on Ageing Guide

Ageing with HIV deserves more than footnotes. This series offers space to talk openly about bodies, time, care, and the future, featuring guest speakers and facilitated discussion designed to support members navigating the journey of ageing with HIV.

GMCN Online

Community, but make it virtual. GMCN Online brings members together in a private Zoom space where faces are optional, connection is not, and showing up from your couch is always a valid choice. Links are shared directly with members ahead of time.

Harām

Turn self-harām into self-lubs.

A space for BIPOC GBTQ men who PnP to gather with respect and care. Harām works on reframing shame and community experiences into something supportive and sustaining.

Social Intercourse

Come for the name, stay for the conversation. Social Intercourse is a facilitated discussion space for talking things through, thinking together, and connecting around the topics that shape our lives.

Swapping Lenguas

¡Únete a nosotros! Swapping Lenguas is a relaxed English/Spanish language exchange where flirting is welcome, mistakes are expected, and laughter does a lot of the teaching.
